Happy Monday, Everyone!

Well, here’s to a short work week for most of us! I cannot wait. I’m praying the phones are slow, I can get other work done and just fuck off if I want to!

Not much happened this weekend, though I did not feel like posting at all! Really don’t when nothing is going on but today, just felt like posting for the hell of it!

I have yet to sit down and seriously hunt for a job. I think I will after T-Day coming up. I’m not sure many companies will be hiring full time, but we’ll see. I’m definitely going to keep my feelers out there for something good!

Well, time to hit it!

One of Those Days

You ever have one of those days where you just finally sat up and knew you had to change something in your life? Yeah, I’m having it right now.

My personal life? Going great. Work life? Not so great. I work full time as a phone jockey (receptionist) and I despise it. It has been the only thing I’ve been good at since I began working many years ago. I detest it and I’ve had it. I would rather work retail than to sit here day after day taking calls from whiny ass technicians who do not know how to work the product we sell and offer support for.

Ask for another position in the company? Believe me, I’ve tried…for the past year and a half. I’ve gotten no where. (will be here three years in February.) I have been told they like me too much at the front desk, the customers like me and the techs like me…they don’t want to move me. Like I really enjoy hearing that bullshit. So, off I go to look for something else. I just cannot take it here any longer. I got a nice raise a year ago but I’m still the lowest person paid here and I’m treated like the mushroom, kept in the dark and fed shit.

Wow…

Co-workers, are you SUPPOSED to get along with them? Is there a world wide rule that states you must?

I was out of work Friday on a mental day, meaning had I not taken the day off I would have found the nearest shotgun and gone postal on someone.  I did not talk to my supervisor directly, though she prefers it, it just did not play out that way this time around.

So, I come back to work this morning, mentally refreshed, ready to take on the day and what customers throw at me and I get hit with a very icy reception not only from the super but the two other female co-workers. WTF? Well, I’m not going to let it get to me, I think it is hysterical that they are holding a grudge but that is their problem, not mine. I just think if they had an issue with it on Friday I should have been told Friday and not come back to…well…the bitter freeze!! Am I right? Eh?!

I’ll be looking for a job shortly. My friend tells me to find one and just up and quit this place…which I might do but in this economy right now, I may have to suffer here for a bit longer, but we’ll see.

Is This Week Weird or What?

I know it is Thursday but it seems as if this week has just been one weird rollercoaster. Both at home and at work! I think I will be happy once this week ends. My wedding anniversary is on Saturday (yay! 10 yrs of bliss!) and I am looking forward to celebrating it with the hubby!   (love you if you’re reading this, btw!)

Back to topic, I don’t know if it is because Fall is approaching or if the alignment of the moon is off, (just kidding)….who knows, I just know that some weird vibe is going on around me and I cannot wait to get rid of it!

People Suck!

Why do people have to be assholes when you are trying to help them? I am a glorified receptionist for a major 3D reseller/technical support company with offices all around. Now….most calls come in to me from all of our offices along with West Coast. I’m trying to help someone who is being a complete freaking ASSHOLE on the phone. I’m being my usual pleasant self on the phone (gasp!) and he’s just a jerk…I finally gave up and transferred him over to his sales rep. I’m waiting for a complaint to come in about me…but its not my fault that fucker needs to get laid and lighten up!

Is it just me…

I really don’t give a crap about this year’s election! Is it just me? Okay, so we have a black President, big deal…time to move on…

So the gay marriage ban went through….move on!

I don’t find any of these terribly exciting. I’ve got too much shit going on with my life to freak about a new President or some bill that didn’t pass.
